Membership
Purple Porch Co-op offers two levels of membership. Both give consumers access to the online marketplace, but only Level 2 membership gives participants voting rights and involvement in Purple Porch decision-making in exchange for a volunteer commitment. The two levels of membership are further described below.
Level 1: Consumer Membership
- $35 annual fee

Level 2: Voting Membership
- $35 annual fee
- Gain annual access to purchasing food through this website
- Agree to volunteer 18 hours throughout the year. Be
involved in:
- Co-op decision-making
- Distribution day support
- Producer relations & farm visits
- Web/tech support
- Education & marketing
- Renewal fee is waived for following year (if hours are completed)
- One vote in co-op decision-making
Get Started
- Create an online account by clicking on Shop Online in the upper menu, and then selecting New User in the left column of the online marketplace web page. Follow the instructions on each subsequent page to complete your registration. All new users are given a free two week trial to try the system. After this trial period, if you choose to continue as a shopper, you will be asked to pay the $35 membership fee.
- The membership fee will appear on your invoice the next time you place an order. Payment of the fee will be expected at check-out.
Purple Porch offers membership scholarships for those whom the fee is a barrier to participation in the co-op. If you have any questions about these scholarships, or membership questions in general, e-mail membership@purpleporchcoop.com.
