Basically, it's a once-a-week shopping cycle. Shopping begins on Friday at about 2:00 pm of each week and runs through noon of Monday (over two days to shop). You make your orders online and pay by check or cash when you pick up the order a week later. Pickup Day is the Wednesday of the week you ordered between 5:15 and 7:00 p.m.
The pickup point is in the cafeteria of LangLab - 1302 High St., South Bend, IN.
Level 1: Consumer Membership
If you sign up, you'll receive a two-cycle trial membership. Beyond that, our annual user fee is $35, a charge that will appear on your invoice and is payable within two ordering cycles after you join. This fee gives you shopping privileges for a year (Level 1 Consumer Membership).
Level 2: Voting Membership
For those who REALLY want to support the Co-op and participate in the democratic process of the Co-op, we offer a Level 2 Voting Membership. Sign up the same way, including the $35 annual fee - but in order to have Voting rights in the Co-op, we ask that you volunteer 18 hours throughout the year. Volunteering needs are especially great during the drop-off/pick-up times (Wednesdays). We will also have volunteer opportunities in Co-op organization, tech support, education and marketing.
One a Level 2 Voting Member completes their 18 volunteer hours with the Co-op, their renewal fee for the following year is waived.
